14 Original B/w photographs (100x155mm) - Original vintage silver gelatin print photographs presenting a view of the 1927 Stuttgart Deutscher Werkbund exhibition, a seminal event which marked the coming of age and mainstreaming of modernist architecture in Europe, and for which the 33 buildings of the Weissenhof Estate (Weissenhofsiedlung) were created. THe event was deeply influenced by its connection to the Staatliches Bauhaus, then located in Weimar. The architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, later the director of Bauhaus, organized and coordinated the exhibition. The photographs by Dr. Otto Loosen are of Houses by - Adolf Rading, Adolf G. Schneck, Mart Stam, Hans Scharoun, Hans Peolzig, Walter Gropius, Le Corbusier, P. Jeanneret, J.J.P. Oud, Richard Docker. In Very good condition
